We offer positions at the information desk, emergency room, surgery waiting room, medical records, oncology, nutrition services, admitting, dismissals, gift shop and many more. We welcome volunteers of all ages, with a minimum age of requirement of 14 years old. However, we have volunteers who are up to 90 years old who greatly contribute to the work of the hospital. Volunteer orientation is conducted as needed, by current volunteers, for those unfamiliar with Littleton Adventist Hospital. This introduction to the hospital and our volunteer program emphasizes safety and important code information. We also require every volunteer to have yearly TB skin tests free of charge. At Littleton Adventist Hospital, we ask that all of our volunteers wear a uniform, so that they can be easily recognizable by hospital medical staff and patients. Volunteers are requested to wear white slacks and tennis shoes with either green hospital volunteer smocks, for women, or a vest, for men. A summer junior volunteer program runs from June to August for volunteers 14 to 17 years old. Teens purchase navy polo shirts with the Centura logo, and wear khaki slacks and name badge. Most teen volunteers work one or two four-hour shifts a week.
